Hi,

I recently got an email from a friend, who run a marathon. He wrote that this post helped him to refocus during the race and this is when I thought it would be great to share his experience with you. He wrote: "Being, for example, at 37 km I tried not to care whether there is an another 5 km but to just focus on each single step. To make a long story short: I ran my best time in years!".

Then I asked myself, why he achieved such a great result through this mindful approach? My thought was that when we concentrate on the present moment, we just are, with all our energy, in this very moment. When we think about our future goal (e.g. in this case the finish line), instead, a part of our energy "leaks out" into the future, making us weaker in this very moment. I will definitely explore that more in the future.

All the best,
